There’s only one real Guns N Roses track on here (Nice Boys) – the rest is a compilation of tracks from various tribute albums, Hollywood Rose demos, and L.A. Guns songs. Still, some cool stuff here for the hardcore GNR fan, thanks!

    1 Anything Goes-Hollywood Rose
2 Welcome To The Jungle-Gilby Clarke, Tracii Guns & Kevin Dubrow (Quiet Riot)
3 No More Mr.Nice Guy-Slash & Roger Daltrey (The Who)
    4 Sex Action-L.A. Guns
    5 Sweet Child OMine-Gilby Clarke
    6 Killing Time-Hollywood Rose
7 Elected-Duff Mckagan, Matt Sorum, Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) & Billy Duffy (The Cult)
    8 My Michelle-L.A. Guns
9 It’s So Easy-Tracii Guns, Gilby Clarke & Fred Coury (Cinderella)
10 Last Cigarette-Hollywood Rose Feat. Teddy Zigzag (SlashS Snakepit)
11 You’re Crazy-Gilby Clarke, Tracii Guns & Stevie Ranchelle (Tuff)
12 Nice Boys-Guns N’ Roses (Rare Track – Original Lineup: Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy & Steven)
13 Pour Some Sugar On Me-L.A.Guns
    14 Rocker-Hollywood Rose
15 Mr. Brownstone-Bang Tango Feat Tracii Guns & Gilby Clarke
16 Toys In The Attic-Tracii Guns & Stephen Pearcy (Ratt)

Thanks for the head’s up, don’t want covers.

I wonder how they were able to use the GNR name for this. There have been several similar releases over the years, some of these very tracks appearing on them, but they never looked like a regular Guns N Roses release. It would say “A Tribute To Guns N Roses” or it would just be Hollywood Roses and Friends, that sort of thing. But since Axl owns the name, I guess one would have to assume that he gave them permission for this one. (Maybe he needs the money since Chinese Democracy wasn’t a huge hit? I thought it was a great album though, personally.)

Some of the tracks on here stick out like sore thumbs. I mean, c’mon, “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” Even if L.A. Guns are covering it, it’s a Def Leppard cover and it is one of Def Leppard’s biggest hits. You don’t think Guns N Roses when you hear that. Same with the cover of Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead Or Alive.” Seems like whoever put this together just compiled whatever they had the rights to, or could get affordably, to fill up 2 CDs.

I’ve had the Bon Jovi cover for almost 10 years, since it was previously on a Bon Jovi tribute. And I already have the Def Leppard cover because L.A. Guns just released a second album of cover songs called Covered In Guns and it’s on that. I have most of the other tracks here, too, so I’m not going to bother with this one. Just found it interesting and felt like commenting. ;)

If it was just a bootleg that would be one thing, but this is actually for sale at amazon.com (that’s where I grabbed the track info) and amazon doesn’t usually do boots.

  5. DNA says:

I’m a GNR fan,but this album is a piece of shit. Axl Rose sucks, worst performance ever.
They shold know when to stop… Really.
